I've been slacking on everything. I haven't had time to organize the NE Hetalia meetup properly, I haven't had time to do anything I want to do, I haven't had the money to try and get my AB stuff together.
I spent over 500 dollars on my Lab, Fluffy, in the last month only to find out (after 124 dollars spent yesterday) that he's been dying of cancer since at -least- last November. The prognosis was 160 days to live because of melanoma (skin cancer) and now I'm kind of pulling my hair out to figure out wtf to do. I think I'll have to put him down next monday.
I've had this dog since he was a baby in '96. It's been a good run, but we all gotta die of something. Maybe after I deal with this, I things can go back to normal.
That being said, if anyone wants to take over trying to organize the NE Hetalia meetup, please, go ahead D: I don't want it to be delayed because of me. |

I totally want to organize a network/community for Hetalia fans in New England (maybe S.E. New England specifically, but not exclusively). I totally have enough connections in RI/Mass to be able to pull shit out of my ass for sites for meetups. I enjoy organizing meetings and creating itineraries, and more than anything, I. LOVE. SOCIALIZING. 8V
This all stemmed from the idea that I should totally host a Hetalia meetup for First Night--mostly because I want to see all the different New Years traditions in one place. I want to see fireworks and red panties. I want to see booze and shiny balls. I want to see people having fun. I'm sure there are other places I could do all this, but I feel like this is where I'm more comfortable. 8V
I don't even know if there are other communities or networking groups like this... I haven't even looked into it. ;;8D maybe I should do that first before I let my brain go on any wild adventures.
So far, I have a couple different aspects for this community in my head. DX;; I should stop thinking about it until I know more.
What do other people think? LET ME KNOWWWWW.

SO YEAH, I'm totally going to make a sack and fill it with 3x3x3" boxes for Anime Boston. I think I can manage 100 gift boxes with Hetalia merchandise to give out at the con. I just hope I don't get mugged/raped/trampled for it. I've found stickers, the figurines, pins, and posters I think I can manage to fit in the little boxes I ordered.
Yeah, I'm pretty much the best santa -ever-, rite?
It seems a little weird to be planning so far ahead. Like... there's what? Five months? It's so far away ;o;! I think I'll be happy I started getting ready now though, when I'm not scrambling to finish later on.
In other news, Rocky was my camper of the day. Poor pup has bad hips already and he's only a year and a half old. He gets so tired and limpy, he has to rest while all the other dogs run over him.

Up at work, it started to straight BLIZZARD on me. By the time I got out, my car was covered in an inch of snow and visibility was so shitty, I was going 20mph and I felt like I was going 70. I kept getting dizzy. Fuck Mass and its northern-ass, practically-oceanless placement. >O
By the time I got to RI and closer to Providence county, it was a little better. I could actually go 50 on the highway without getting dizzy~!!
In other news, Dodge was my camper of the day. :3
I also had an espresso about 15 minutes ago so I'm starting to feel a little jittery :D
...which is okay, because it's Kaylarr's birthday (lol, she's SO old :3) and we're probably going to go to a bar and drink ~anyway~. That'll mellow me right out.
semi-relatedly, when she said "I dunno if we can GO to the bar because there's a -KID- at Ashley's" and then told me this 'kid' was 17, I felt sad and old myself. D: I seriously don't even remember being a teenager anymore. WTF. Where did my childhood go? GIVE IT BACK, TIME. >O

Before I go, though... I will share with all of you... The Tory Atlas of the World -aka- The World According to England. (protip: pay special attention to the little details... and the key)
It's kind of inspired me to create a series of Hetalia related maps. This is sure to be a monstrosity. I just don't know which character to start with. Maybe Russia or China, since America and England have -sort of- already been done. I could do France... Hell, I could do anyone.
IF ANYONE HAS SUGGESTIONS... COMMENT AND TELL ME. I'm going to start as soon as I come home from work (since it's not like I'm going to be doing anything ELSE ;o; I hate working the weekends.)

I guess I should draw up a pattern... or just dissect my grandfather's WW2 breeches (which I am totally not brave enough to do) to start me off.
They were so badass during the Winter War though. I honestly can't think of Finland like they portray him in Hetalia. I always think of the "World Wars in a Nutshell" comics on deviantart. Finland's holding Russia off with one hand while Russia foams at the mouth. (Who the fuck attacks a neutral country, Russia?? Come -on-.)
...but now that I've looked deeper into Finland's design, he has so many outfits ;o; so cute.
on the other hand, Norway -did- win my little poll. At least they have similar hair ,:3 one thing I don't have to worry about. (I have this -issue- with wigs I cannot explain.)
